MOSCOW (Reuters) – The number of people unemployed in Russia was 2.9 million in [July,](https://blockchaintribune.com/u-s-weekly-jobless-claims-fall-layoffs-lowest-in-more-than-21-years/) or 3.9% of the workforce, with the [jobless](https://blockchaintribune.com/stocks-gain-as-european-shares-hit-new-highs-dollar-slips/) rate staying at the record low reached in May, the statistics service said on Wednesday.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast [unemployment](https://blockchaintribune.com/low-unemployment-amongst-young-driving-demand-says-jd-sports-boss/) of 4.1%.
