[LONDON](https://blockchaintribune.com/london-listed-spac-moves-closer-to-launch-of-lloyds-insurance-vehicle/) (Reuters) – [British](https://blockchaintribune.com/greece-pm-senses-momentum-in-elgin-marbles-talks-with-britain/) retail sales rose by 0.8% last month, a bigger rise than expected, official data showed on Friday.

A Reuters poll of economists had pointed to a 0.5% month-on-month increase in [sales](https://blockchaintribune.com/sun-and-holidays-boost-uk-supermarket-spending-but-asda-struggles-says-niq/) volumes.
